Our Opportunity

Work Location: Chichesters - Cloudbreak and Christmas Creek.  Fortescue’s Chichester hub is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.

Roster: Monday–Friday transitioning to 8/6

The Energy Operations Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing high-quality maintenance work plans that enable safe, efficient and effective execution of maintenance activities across generation and transmission assets.

Reporting to Senior Planner & Scheduler (Energy Operations), this role works closely with execution teams to ensure work scopes are accurate, practical and fully prepared to minimise rework, delays and risk.

Key Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop detailed and executable maintenance work plans and job packs
  • Engage with supervisors and trades to validate scope accuracy and practicality
  • Ensure labour, materials, tooling and contractor requirements are clearly identified
  • Support execution teams during work delivery to resolve scope or planning issues
  • Maintain high-quality work management data within SAP

Performance Expectations

  • Work orders are fully scoped and ready prior to scheduling
  • Minimal rework due to incomplete planning
  • Positive feedback from execution teams regarding plan quality
  • Accurate and complete SAP data
  • Continuous improvement in planning quality and efficiency

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Experience in maintenance planning within power generation or heavy industry
  • Strong SAP planning capability
  • Understanding of asset reliability and maintenance strategies
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with execution teams
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to safety and compliance

Desirable

  • Electrical or Mechanical trade qualification
  • Experience in gas-fired power station operations
