About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Planner to join the maintenance planning team supporting the Surface and Underground operations at Olympic Dam. This is a fast-paced planning role focused on business-as-usual maintenance activities across mine and fixed plant assets.
Working within a high-performing team, you will be responsible for developing and managing maintenance plans, coordinating scheduled work, and ensuring planning milestones and deadlines are consistently achieved. This role does not involve shutdown planning and is focused on routine maintenance and scheduled works.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed maintenance work plans for Surface and Underground operations.
- Plan and schedule routine maintenance activities across mining and fixed plant assets.
- Coordinate work packs, labour requirements, materials, and equipment availability.
- Monitor planning milestones and ensure adherence to weekly planning deadlines.
- Liaise with operations, maintenance, and reliability teams to optimise work execution.
- Maintain accurate planning data within SAP and associated scheduling systems.
- Support efficient work management processes and dispatch planned work packages to execution teams.
- Analyse maintenance data and workload forecasts to support planning decisions.
- Ensure all plans comply with site safety, operational, and maintenance standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a Maintenance Planner or Planning role within an industrial, resources, or heavy industry environment.
- Strong SAP planning experience with the ability to operate independently from day one.
- Experience using maintenance scheduling and planning tools.
- Strong understanding of planning processes, work management systems, and planning milestones.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing deadlines.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with experience interpreting maintenance data and forecasts.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Desirable Experience
- Exposure to mining operations and maintenance environments.
- Understanding of fixed plant and/or underground mining equipment.
- Experience using MRS (Maintenance Resource Scheduling).
- Knowledge of maintenance work management and work dispatch processes.
