Maintenance Operations Readiness Specialist

An exciting opportunity has become available with a Tier 1 mining organisation for an experienced Maintenance Operations Readiness Specialist to support the introduction of new mobile assets across a large-scale WA mining operation.

This is a highly visible role within the Maintenance Strategy & Governance function, responsible for ensuring maintenance systems, strategies, master data, and documentation are ready to support new fleet deployments.

About the Role

Reporting into the Maintenance Operational Readiness team, you will act as the subject matter expert responsible for developing and implementing maintenance strategies for new mobile assets.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing maintenance strategies for new mobile fleets including:
  • Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME)
  • Auxiliary equipment
  • Light vehicles
• Reviewing OEM manuals, technical documentation and maintenance recommendations
• Extracting maintenance requirements for:
  • Service strategies
  • Major component change-outs
  • Equipment cataloguing
  • Technical documentation
• Working closely with project teams, OEMs, maintenance stakeholders and materials management teams
• Supporting maintenance readiness activities for new asset introductions
• Collaborating with Master Data Specialists to prepare and validate SAP master data
• Developing and updating Preventative Maintenance Instructions (PMIs) and related technical documentation
• Ensuring project deliverables are aligned with maintenance and work management standards

About You To be successful, you'll bring:

• Strong experience in maintenance strategy development for mobile mining equipment
• Expertise across Heavy Mobile Equipment, support equipment and/or light vehicle fleets
• Practical knowledge of maintenance and work management processes
• Experience reviewing OEM maintenance documentation and translating requirements into executable maintenance strategies
• Exposure to SAP maintenance management systems and master data processes
• Proven technical writing and documentation development capability
• Ability to engage and influence a broad range of stakeholders
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related trade/technical   Certificate
• Must be Perth-based and have unrestricted Australian working rights

Highly regarded:

• Mobile mining fleet experience within Tier 1 mining operations
• Reliability, Asset Management or Maintenance Engineering background
• SAP PM or maintenance master data experience
