Steelmaking Coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. Dawson Mine is a large and dynamic open cut steelmaking coal mine operation made up of two operating pits - Central and South. It commenced operations in 1961 and is one of the oldest coal mining operations in Central Queensland with no signs of slowing down. Dawson Mine is rich in history, it was the first mine in Australia to export coal to Japan in 1961 and was the first mine to introduce draglines into its operation in 1963 – join the legacy today!
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Asset Health Controller to monitor and analyse real-time machine condition data at our Dawson Mine, based in Moura QLD. In this role you will be at the forefront of our preventative maintenance strategy, diagnosing faults, guiding operators in the field, and ensuring that maintenance issues are addressed before escalating into costly downtime. This role reports directly to the Maintenance Superintendent: Engineering and works closely with Dispatch Mine Controllers, Reliability Engineers, and Maintenance Personnel. In this site-based staff role, the Maintenance Asset Health Controller will work from the dispatch centre to monitor asset health data and will work closely with the Dispatch Mine Controllers. There are multiple opportunities available for a 24-7 functional team positioned in alignment with each of the four crews.
