About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Maintainer Electrical to join our dynamic and successful team. Reporting directly to the Electrical Supervisor, you will play a key role in safely and effectively maintaining and supporting the electrical systems across our site to a high standard and meet required targets. This multifaceted role will involve working on a diverse range of equipment including:

• Shovels
• Electric Drive Trucks
• All associated mine infrastructure

You will be relied upon to diagnose complex electrical faults, make safe and effective decisions in the field, and support production-critical assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and support electrical systems across the site to a high standard and meet required targets.
• Diagnose complex electrical faults and make safe and effective field decisions.
• Work on a diverse range of equipment including shovels, electric drive trucks and all associated mine infrastructure.
• Support production-critical assets in a fast-paced mining environment.
• Work under the supervision of the Electrical Supervisor and with a collaborative team to optimise asset performance.

About You / Requirements

• Relevant Electrical qualification.
• Mining Equipment OEM Training and experience.
• Experience in maintaining Electric Rope Shovels.
• Experience in maintaining Electric Drive Trucks.
• Open Cut Coal Mining experience.
• HV Switching authorisation.
• Maintenance and fault-finding on HV infrastructure including substations, switchgear, power reticulation, trailing cables and mine-wide power distribution systems.
• Experience with Operational Technology (OT) Systems (desirable).
• Demonstrated exposure to computerised maintenance management systems and knowledge of SAP (desirable).
• Ability to work well in a dynamic team environment.
• A current and valid Australian Driver’s licence.
• High Risk Work Licences such as Forklift, EWP & Working at Heights will be highly regarded.
• You have a willingness to contribute to a winning team, whilst also focusing on your personal and professional development.

This role is a wonderful opportunity for you no matter your circumstance. You will have the option to either live locally in one of the communities that surround our operation or stay on site in our amazing village. We are only a one and quarter hour drive from the beautiful Mackay hinterland and a two- and half-hour drive from Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday Islands and have a diverse group of people at our operation commuting from multiple locations in Queensland such as Rockhampton and Townsville, to name a few. Commercial Flight Support is available per written request for senior staff members and above, for flights from Mackay (MKY) to Brisbane (BNE) return.
