Light Vehicle Fitter
Mining

FIFO / Site-based (WA/QLD/SA options)
Roster:
2:1 / 2:2 (varies by site)
Rate:
Competitive hourly rate + super
About the Role:
You will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a range of light vehicles and ancillary equipment to ensure safe and efficient site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, servicing, and repairs on light vehicles (e.g. Toyota LandCruisers, Hilux)
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out breakdown repairs on site
- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections
- Ensure all work is completed in line with site safety standards and procedures
- Complete job cards, service reports, and maintenance records
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance and operations teams
Requirements
- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology(or equivalent)
- Proven mining experience(open cut or underground)
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience working on mine-spec vehicles
- Valid driver’s licence (HR desirable)
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
Desirable
- Experience with mine site compliance (e.g. isolations, safety systems)
- Tickets such as Working at Heights, Confined Space, or Standard 11 (QLD)
- Previous FIFO experience
