We're currently seeking an experienced Long Term Maintenance Planner to join our team in a permanent 5/2/4/3 role. About the Role

Reporting to the Planning & Reliability team, you'll be responsible for developing and managing long-term maintenance plans for heavy mobile equipment. Working closely with site maintenance planners, reliability engineers and procurement teams, you'll ensure components, resources and maintenance strategies are aligned to maximise fleet availability and minimise unplanned downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain long-term maintenance strategies for heavy mobile mining equipment
  • Plan component replacements, rebuilds and lifecycle activities to maximise equipment reliability
  • Coordinate component procurement and availability to support planned maintenance schedules
  • Work closely with site maintenance planners to ensure maintenance plans are executed effectively
  • Maintain accurate equipment history, component records and planning data
  • Review component performance and conduct lifecycle analysis to optimise maintenance strategies
  • Partner with Reliability teams to reduce premature component failures through proactive maintenance and condition monitoring
  • Monitor maintenance compliance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Maintain and optimise CMMS data within systems including JDE and MEX
  • Support ongoing improvements to maintenance planning processes and fleet performance

About You

To be successful, you'll bring:

  • Trade qualification and/or Mechanical Engineering qualification
  • Previous experience in a Long Term Maintenance Planner or similar maintenance planning role within an open cut mining environment
  • Strong knowledge of heavy mobile mining equipment and component management
  • Experience using CMMS platforms such as JDE, MEX, SAP or AMT
  • Understanding of maintenance planning, work management and reliability principles
  • Knowledge of Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi and Liebherr equipment
  • Strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Current Queensland Driver Licence (HR Licence advantageous)
  • Experience with OEM diagnostic systems including CAT SIS, Cummins INSITE and Liebherr LIDOS will be highly regarded
