Light Vehicle Fitter - Bellevue

Barminco has successfully tendered for the exciting Bellevue Gold Project located approximately 40km north-east of Leinster in Western Australia’s Northern Goldfields region. Operated by Bellevue Gold Limited, Bellevue is one of Australia’s highest-grade underground gold mines, achieving commercial production in 2024 and positioned for significant long-term growth.

This major underground operation combines industry-leading mining practices with a strong sustainability focus, including a hybrid renewable energy power station designed to supply more than 80% of the site’s power requirements through renewable energy sources.

About the Role

As part of this project, Barminco is seeking experienced and motivated Light Vehicle Fitter professionals to join the team on a full-time basis, working a 7/7 FIFO roster. These roles are integral to delivering safe, productive and efficient underground mining operations at the Bellevue Gold Mine while contributing to the continued success and expansion of the Bellevue Gold Mine.

Your role will support underground production within a high-performing team focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.

What Will Your Day-to-Day Look Like?

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on underground light vehicles and ancillary equipment.

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and complete repairs

• Conduct inspections, pre-starts, and compliance checks to ensure vehicles are safe for operation

• Perform breakdown repairs to minimise downtime

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report defects or safety issues

• Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures while working underground

Our Ideal Candidate Background Includes

• Trade qualification as a light vehicle mechanic (or equivalent)

• Previous experience working as a Light Vehicle Fitter in underground mining

• Current and valid Manual Australian Driver’s Licence

• Strong understanding of underground mining processes and safety standards

• Experience operating within production-focused underground environments

• Ability to work effectively within a team and follow mine plans and procedures

• Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive workplace
