The Opportunity

Komatsu is seeking an experienced Leading Hand to join our Mackay workshop team.

Working from our Connors Road facility, you’ll lead a team across equipment refurbishment, PDI and preparation of new Komatsu machines for customer delivery.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll provide technical support and direction to the workshop team while helping keep jobs moving safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

**Role Located:**Connors Road, Mackay

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support Technicians, Apprentices and Trades Assistants.
• Coordinate refurbishment and PDI work across Komatsu equipment.
• Monitor job progress, parts, tooling, quality and documentation.
• Carry out quality checks and help reduce rework.
• Promote safe work practices and maintain high workshop standards.

About You / Requirements

• Trade qualification – Diesel Mechanic, Auto Electrician.
• Experience working on heavy mobile plant equipment.
• Previous Leading Hand or workshop leadership experience.
• Strong technical and workshop knowledge.
• Clear communication and a practical approach to leading a team.
