The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Leading Hand Fitter to join our Customer Support team at Curragh Mine.

Working alongside a team of Komatsu employees and representing Komatsu on the customer’s site, you will provide technical support and direction across Komatsu machine-related maintenance activities. You will play an important role in supporting the customer, maintaining high safety and quality standards, identifying opportunities and risks, and ensuring work is completed in line with Komatsu requirements.

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced technician who can work independently, communicate effectively with customers and site personnel, and confidently undertake supervisory responsibilities when required.

Roster and Remuneration

  • Roster: DIDO 7:7 days/nights - 12.25 hours per shift
  • Remuneration: $203,025 pa + super + Tool Allowance
  • Role Located: Curragh Mine, Blackwater, QLD

What we are looking for

  • Trade qualification in HV Electrical and/or Mechanical
  • Previous experience undertaking a Leading Hand or supervisory role on a mine site
  • Excellent knowledge of Komatsu equipment and machinery
  • Experience with Komatsu maintenance manuals, parts manuals and schematic drawings
  • Experience with Komatsu 930E, D475 Dozers and PC7000 excavators would be advantageous
  • A strong understanding and commitment to safety and environmental standards
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, Komatsu personnel and site teams
  • The ability to lead a team while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
  • A positive, team-focused approach and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Current Driver’s Licence
