About the Role

In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering work in line with operational schedules, providing timely and accurate reporting, and supporting the achievement of site objectives at the Byerwen Project. You will coordinate and assist in carrying out repairs, servicing, and diagnostics on mobile plant, while managing breakdowns and coordinating field shutdowns to ensure machinery reliability, safety compliance, and optimal operational efficiency. Working alongside an experienced team, you'll champion a strong safety culture, contribute to operational success, and demonstrate the Macmahon values in everything you do.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance on heavy mining equipment including:
  • Excavators – 9800, 9400, 996 and under 600T
  • Dozers – D10, D11
  • Graders, loaders, trucks
• Prior site-based mobile plant experience essential
• Complete servicing to OEM standards and site procedures
• Support strong equipment availability and safe, reliable performance
• Speak-up and contribute to our culture; everyone home safe, every swing
• Work closely with production and planning teams to schedule work

What You’ll Bring

• Trade qualified HD Fitter / HD Mechanic
• Australian-recognised mobile plant trade certificate
• Demonstrated experience working on a range of heavy duty mobile plant
• Exceptional diagnostic and fault finding skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and step up when needed
• Commitment to safe work practices and job quality
• Demonstrated ability to provide strong leadership and drive continuous improvement.
• Proven commitment to safety.
