The Opportunity:

You’ll make a meaningful impact by leading the Structural Integrity Maintenance and Management System (SIMMS) and shaping how we manage structural asset health across Gold Fields globally. In this role, you’ll develop, innovate, and provide expert technical guidance for our Asset Management, Energy & Technology (AMET) team based at our Perth office.

You’ll collaborate with site engineering, asset integrity teams, and specialist consultants to ensure our highest-risk structural assets are safe, reliable, and aligned with Group standards influencing long-term asset performance across our global portfolio.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the implementation and stewardship of the Structural Integrity Maintenance and Management System (SIMMS) across the Group
  • Provide technical leadership on structural and asset integrity frameworks, guidelines, and standards
  • Review and verify structural risk assessments, inspection programs, and integrity models
  • Support structural assessments, repairs, modifications, and defect elimination activities
  • Analyse inspection and failure data to identify degradation mechanisms and long-term integrity risks
  • Partner with site engineering and asset integrity teams to promote consistent structural integrity practices
  • Provide technical input into major projects, portfolio growth opportunities, and structural design reviews
  • Conduct integrity audits to ensure compliance with SIMMS, statutory obligations, and Group requirements

What You’ll Bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering
  • Senior level technical expertise in structural or mechanical integrity, including inspections, risk-based programs, or failure analysis
  • Strong knowledge of engineering design codes, standards, and structural integrity management systems
  • A growth mindset, with strong communication, technical judgement, and relationship‑building skills
