Pearl Recruitment Group is partnering with a respected Perth CBD-based engineering design and project management consultancy servicing the mining, processing and materials handling sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Lead Project Controller or strong Senior Project Controller to join their projects team on a full-time permanent basis.

What will the role see you responsible for?
Working closely with project managers, engineering teams and senior leadership, you will oversee planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting and reporting across brownfields and sustaining capital projects.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project or similar.
• Monitoring project timelines, resources, costs and overall project performance.
• Supporting resource planning across brownfields and sustaining capital projects.
• Tracking budgets, forecasts, cost performance and variances.
• Preparing dashboards, reports and project updates for senior leadership.
• Identifying potential risks, delays, cost pressures or schedule issues early.
• Providing clear insights to support project and portfolio-level decision-making.
• Working with internal teams to improve project controls processes, systems and reporting.
• Supporting the wider projects team with planning, cost control, reporting and commercial requirements.

What do you require to be successful?
To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally have:

• A degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or similar, or 5+ years’ experience in a similar project controls role.
• Previous experience within engineering, mining, resources, construction or sustaining capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of project controls, including EVM, cost control, forecasting and schedule analysis.
• Experience using Primavera P6, MS Project or similar scheduling/resource planning tools.
• Exposure to cost management systems such as Pronto, CMS or similar.
• Strong Excel, reporting and data analysis skills.
• Ability to interpret project data and provide clear insights to support decision-making.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with internal stakeholders.
• Postgraduate qualifications or certifications in Project Controls, Cost Engineering or Planning, such as AACE, PMI-SP or PMP, will be highly regarded but are not essential.
