THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Major Engineering and Procurement Manager, this role is responsible for delivery of SMP Procurement Package for the P2000 Project including new Dry and Wet Plant Infrastructure. This will include Engineering Design works alongside our key Contractors and Vendors to develop fit for purpose Procurement and Engineering activities.
This will involve undertaking tendering development, tendering, contract engagement, Post Contract Engagement works including design management, Vendor management, Delivery and onsite receival management. Further this work may lead to onsite engagement as a SMP Engineer delivering the Construction and Commissioning of the P2000 Project.
This role involves working with cross-functional teams across design, execution and operations to ensure high-quality end solutions that deliver value to the business.
This role has the multiple options for employment type available – full time, casual or fixed term contract depending on the experience and availability of the successful candidate. The role is based at our beautiful West Perth office, near the City West train station.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Tendering, Contract negotiations, Supplier Management, Delivery Management and receival of and of Key Mechanical, piping and Structural Procurement packages for the P2000 Project
- Management of extensive external design consultant network to assist in the delivery of design works
- Overview of compliance to internal and statutory requirements, including delivery of safety-in-design values in team performance
- Work closely with Operations, Asset Readiness and Project Delivery teams to ensure project success through all phases of scoping, execution and commissioning / handover.
- Potential future onsite Project Engineering as a SMP Site Engineer to deliver the Construction and Commissioning of the P2000 Plant
ABOUT YOU**:**
- Preferably Mechanical Engineering Degree or Similar tertiary education qualifications
- Ability to manage external stakeholders and Suppliers
- Understanding of Procurement related activities such as Supplier Management, Documentation development, SMP related activities and International logistics (not essential)
- Ability to travel locally, to Site, interstate and if required have the ability to travel Internationally for Inspections (not essential)
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Analytical thinking and problem‑solving
- Strong communication skills—able to engage technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
