About The Role:
To support our Short and Mid-Term Maintenance Planning, we have an exciting opportunity for a Lead - Planning & Reliability to join our team and be a key part of developing the department onsite. Reporting to the Superintendent Planning and Reliability, you will provide direct leadership to the Short and Mid-Term Planning team across all assets including Mobile, Field & Ancillary Equipment, CHPP and Infrastructure.
This is a site-based position working 5:2 with flexibility over a 9 day fortnight on offer.
What You'll Do:
- Provide effective leadership to the Short and Mid-Term Planning team with a focus on ensuring weekly plans are delivered and the adherence to work management metrics.
- Own and implement best practice planning structures, procedures and processes to ensure the effective and efficient scheduling of all maintenance activities.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to the team aimed at improving safety, work processes, cost, and overall capability.
- Drive initiatives that improve cost effectiveness and productivity for both Daunia and Whitehaven.
What You'll Bring:

A trade or tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering will see you well placed to succeed.

Caterpillar equipment knowledge is highly regarded together with planning experience using SAP CMMS.

An inspirational leader with prior experience in a similar role, preferably in an open-cut coal mining environment.

Minimum of 5 years in the mining, mineral processing or heavy industries with a strong working knowledge of Maintenance Planning and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Advanced knowledge of SAP4Hana and AMT are ideal.
