Who we are looking for!
As the Lead People Business Partner, you will shape a high-performing, compliant, and engaged workforce. You will lead strategic workforce planning, safeguard business integrity through investigations, and manage employee relations ensuring adherence to collective bargaining agreements and mitigating labour risks. Acting as a trusted advisor to project leaders, you will deliver enterprise programs, drive engagement through surveys, and champion change management initiatives. Beyond people strategy, you will oversee workplace resources, creating environments where teams can thrive and business goals are achieved.
Key Work Activities
- Providing expert advice to project leaders and employees on all people-related matters, including employee relations, compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreements, and supporting workforce planning to align talent with business needs.
- Conducting non-escalated Business Integrity & Compliance investigations, managing disciplinary processes, and proactively mitigating labor unrest risks.
- Delivering enterprise programs and engagement initiatives, including listening surveys and change management projects, to strengthen culture and performance.
- Leading and developing your team by allocating work, coaching, recognizing performance, and building capability to achieve shared goals.
- Fostering an inclusive and collaborative workplace by promoting team engagement, addressing critical issues, and driving continuous improvement.
Capabilities Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, with strong knowledge of HR best practices and legal requirements.
- Advanced expertise in employee relations, labour relations, disciplinary processes, and risk management, including handling labour unrest.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coach teams, foster an inclusive culture, and drive change management initiatives effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data, identify patterns, and improve processes using insights and trends.
- Excellent advisory and communication skills to influence site and broader enterprise leaders and deliver enterprise programs, engagement surveys, and workforce planning.
Working Conditions
This is a site based role, offering either a 5/2 roster or 9-day fortnight arrangement to support work-life balance. However, roster flexibility may be provided for the right candidate.
