Working closely with operational teams, regulators, consultants and contractors, you will drive environmental initiatives that reduce risk, improve business performance and support sustainable mining operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of environmental studies and projects.
• Identify and manage technical studies required to meet environmental approval conditions and support future operations.
• Prepare scopes of work, manage consultants and contractors, and oversee project delivery.
• Develop and manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets, forecasts and project expenditure.
• Oversee compliance with the Waste Discharge Licence, including annual reporting requirements.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and strategic advice across the Environment team.
• Monitor project progress, prepare reports and communicate outcomes to key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with operational departments to identify opportunities for environmental and business improvement.

Key Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• Previous mining industry experience, with at least 5 years in a similar environmental management role.
• Demonstrated experience leading environmental projects, managing budgets and coordinating contractors.
• Strong understanding of environmental legislation, regulatory approvals and environmental risk management.
• Excellent technical review, report writing and project management skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels.
• A proactive approach with a strong commitment to safety, continuous improvement and environmental excellence.
