About the Company

Our client is a leading global EPCM delivering major resources, energy and infrastructure projects across Australia. Due to continued project growth, they are seeking an experienced Lead Civil Engineer to provide technical leadership and drive the successful delivery of complex brownfield and greenfield projects.

The Opportunity

As the Lead Civil Engineer, you will lead multidisciplinary design teams and take ownership of civil engineering deliverables across large-scale mining and infrastructure projects. This role combines technical excellence, design leadership and stakeholder engagement, offering exposure to a diverse portfolio of projects with Tier 1 resource sector clients.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor civil engineers and designers to deliver projects safely, on schedule and within budget
Manage the technical delivery of civil scopes including earthworks, access roads, construction pads, drainage and mining infrastructure
Coordinate civil design activities across multiple disciplines and geographically diverse teams
Drive scope management, design reviews and technical assurance processes
Prepare and review engineering studies, calculations, reports and project documentation
Resolve technical issues and provide innovative, practical engineering solutions
Support tender evaluations, vendor reviews and project execution activities

About You

Degree qualified Civil Engineer
Chartered (CPEng) status
15+ years' civil design experience within mining, energy, infrastructure or heavy industry projects
Proven experience leading engineering teams on complex projects
Strong understanding of Australian Standards and civil design best practice
Experience with software such as 12d, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation highly regarded
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver outcomes in fast-paced project environments
