About the Company
Australian Garnet owns the Lucky Bay garnet mine, which has a mine life of 30 years. We are an owner miner with our own fleet of mining equipment, have a fully operational processing plant, packaging plant and 7 wind turbines, construction was completed approximately 18 months ago and is located 30 kilometers from Kalbarri.
Australian Garnet has a current opportunity available for an experienced Laboratory Technician to work at ourLucky Bay mine site.
Residential role, based in Kalbarri, Northampton or Geraldton working 8 days on 6 days off roster.
FIFO – 2/1 roster from Perth
Key responsibilities include:

Perform all work in accordance with company safety policies, practices, and procedures.

Assist in coordinating plant surveys to verify plant performance.

Maintain accurate QA results and related paperwork.

Ensure testing processes are followed and results are accurately recorded.
Necessary skills and qualifications

At least 2 years mining experience in Western Australia.

Experience with mineral sand and laboratory practices highly regarded.

Solid mechanical aptitude, experience with DCS, plant operating software highly regarded.

Experience with mineral sand processing and mining equipment.

Tertiary qualifications in Laboratory Skills or related science.

RSO static gauges qualification highly regarded.
