The Opportunity
Our Lithium team is seeking Laboratory Technicians to join the laboratory team.
As a Laboratory Technician you operate and maintain the site assay lab and will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of routine plant and pit samples.
This role will be on a 7 days on / 7 nights on / 7 days off roster, on a 6 month fixed term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Ensure responses are captured promptly and communicated to the appropriate teams
- Inspect the workplace to identify hazards and assist to implement effective controls
- Accurate and timely reporting of analytical results
- Perform QAQC checks and ensure results are within control limits
- Ensuring you follow MinRes Laboratory procedures & adhere to Health & Safety Standards
- Contribute to daily PSI meetings
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in relation to procedures, systems and work-related activities and initiate improvement action via an entry in the Laboratory Improvement Request Register
What is Required:
- Demonstrated experience working in similar position within an automated laboratory environment
- MSL40118 Certificate 1V Laboratory Technician (Highly desirable)
- Ability to work cohesively in close knit team environment
- A strong commitment to commitment to safety
- High attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Full Australian working rights
- Current WA C Class Drivers Licence
