Job Description

• Fly in Fly out or Drive in Drive out from Brisbane
• Full time employment opportunities
• 2/1 roster
• Various shift times working either 10,11 or 11.5 hours
• Remuneration range - $80,000 - $90,000 plus superannuation
• QLD Australian sites available across Ernest Henry,Clarke Creek, Ensham,Jellinbah,Cracow,Ravenswood,Bauxite Hills,Lake Vermont, Baralaba and Archers Village

Cater Care Services are seeking motivated kitchenhands to join our remote villages across QLD Australia. You will work 14 days on and have 7 days off (with meals, uniforms and accommodation included), giving you a real opportunity to save and improve your work/life balance. If you have a strong knowledge of food safety and enjoy working in a team environment, we want to hear from you.

What does a day in the life of a FIFO Kitchenhand look like?

• Cleaning of dining room and kitchen areas
• Working both day and nightshift
• Assisting chef with food preparation
• Wiping of tables
• Mopping floors
• Maintaining food safety standards
• Temperature checking
• Emptying rubbish bins
• Safe handling of chemicals
• Repetitive, physical tasks, including heavy lifting and bending
• Assisting with truck day
• Assisting the broader utility team as required
• Demonstrate a strong safety culture

Desired Skills and Experience

To get a start you’ll need:

• The ability to work well independently, as well as with other team members
• A commitment to genuine, friendly customer service
• A motivated, enthusiastic and positive ‘can-do’ attitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment, sometimes for long periods.
• Pride in personal appearance & hygiene

Requirements:

• Current Australian driver's license
• 6-12 months kitchen experience
• Police clearance (within 6 months)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
• Safe Food Handling Certificate (highly desirable)
• Hospitality experience (desirable)
