What’s the opportunity?

As an Underground Jumbo Operator, you'll play a key role in our underground development team, operating jumbo equipment to safely deliver development headings and install ground support in line with mine plans and design requirements. You'll work alongside experienced mining professionals to drive safe, high-quality production outcomes at Ernest Henry Operations.

In this role, you'll:

• Operate jumbo equipment across a range of underground development activities
• Install ground support including bolts, mesh and other support systems
• Read and interpret development designs and survey instructions
• Maintain line, grade and development quality standards
• Conduct pre-start inspections and report equipment defects.

Does this sound like you?

You're an experienced underground mining operator with a strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork. You take pride in delivering high-quality development work and enjoy working in a collaborative underground environment.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Competency operating underground development jumbo equipment, along with relevant mining tickets and a current driver's licence

• Experience in jumbo boring and bolting within underground hard rock mining operations

• Strong knowledge of ground support installation, mine development practices and safe work procedures

• Good communication, observation and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to safety and housekeeping.
