IT Field Support Officer

Your new role

As an IT Support Assistant, you will provide hands-on technology support across mine site locations in Mount Isa. This role is ideal for someone who is tech-savvy, interested in building an IT career, and keen to gain on-site experience. Full training will be provided on systems and processes.

The role operates on a 5/2, 4/3 roster, working from 7:00am to 5:00pm with a one-hour lunch break. The position is expected to run through to the end of the year, with month-to-month extensions based on operational needs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing new computers for deployment, including installing standard builds and required software, testing, and re-boxing
• Dispatching computer hardware to other sites as required
• Delivering IT hardware across Mount Isa sites and assisting end users with setup when needed
• Providing basic on-site troubleshooting for hardware and software issues
• Delivering friendly and professional customer service to end users, both face-to-face and over the phone

What you'll need to succeed

• A genuine interest in IT or technology and a willingness to learn
• Strong basic computer skills and confidence working with hardware
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks across multiple locations
• A current driving licence
• Availability to work the roster and hours outlined
