About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Inventory & Logistics Coordinator to join our Commercial Team. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination of inventory availability at the right location in a timely and efficient manner. This role plays an integral role in coordinating planning and managing transport logistics for the movement of inventory for the Network maintenance teams. Role is based at the Yard of the Rail Network with transport and accommodation provided while on Site. Option to be residentially based in Townsville and Rockhampton.
- Coordination of inventory across depots/stores and logistics from planning through to delivery/transfer, for both planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
- Ensure the correct delivery documentation is received at the time of delivery of inventory.
- Undertake visual quality inspection(s) of inventory upon delivery
- Receipt, administer and monitor the transfer of inventory in line with the approved purchase order / maintenance work order.
- Inventory and Logistics planning, monitoring, and reporting across maintenance.
- Support with monitoring and implementation of goods warranty and/or refurbishment requirement in line with operational /maintenance strategy.
- Monitor, review and provide support to complex logistics associated with provision of inventory to support operations and maintenance activities.
- Manage quality control of inventory provisions and stock and report any non-compliant inventory.
- Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency, safety, reliability and reduce costs through attention to detail and consistent delivery of desired outcomes in relation to inventory and associated logistical support.
- Actively participate and communicate information across the business related to inventory and timely provision across the business.
- Manage supplier shipment reports and ensure dates are captured in BRC systems.
- Accurate creation and maintenance of inventory and logistics administration records.
- Build and maintain effective collaborative relationships within operations including but not limited to site coordinators, leaders, management, internal and external stakeholders to ensure collaboration and resolve issues.

Essential
- Previous 5+ years’ supply chain experience in equivalent position
- Open ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence
- Current Forklift licence
- SARC Safely Access the Rail Corridor (Nationally Accredited) or ability to obtain
- Excellent Organization Skills
- Strong knowledge of inventory/stock management including quality control
- Commercially focused with experience within a results driven environment
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Tools
- Proven ability to establish relationships with team members and an established external network.
- Proven ability to work unsupervised
Desirable
- Experience working with SAP
- Nationally recognised trade qualification
- Sufficient knowledge of the risk profile of railway operations and risk management processes, required to eliminate or control risks to acceptable levels.
