Job Description
Reporting to the Retail Business Manager – Construction, the Inside Sales Representative will join our Sales – Construction Industries team on a permanent basis at our Perth Precinct. In this role, you will be responsible for driving aftermarket sales growth by promoting Caterpillar parts and service solutions to customers within the Retail Construction Industry. Through proactive telephone engagement and strategic account management, you will build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring regular contact is aligned with agreed marketing plans and business objectives.
The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying sales opportunities, increasing market penetration, and strengthening WesTrac’s market share across an assigned customer portfolio by delivering exceptional customer service and tailored solutions.
Department Overview: Sales – Construction Industries – Perth Precinct
Roster – 5 Days, 8.5 Hrs/Day (inclusive meal break)
What You'll Do:
- Customer Relationship Management & Coverage - Maintain regular contact with assigned Retail Construction customers, ensuring appropriate account coverage in line with established targets while developing strong customer relationships and identifying their parts and service requirements.
- Sales Growth & Solution Promotion - Drive sales of Caterpillar parts, attachments, services, Customer Support Agreements (CSAs), and quarterly campaign offers by promoting value-added solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Lead Generation & Opportunity Management - Identify, qualify, and convert sales opportunities within the retail market, proactively managing leads to maximise revenue and market penetration.
- Team collaboration – builds partnerships and works collaboratively with other business unitsto deliver customer- centric solutions and accomplish team goals and sales targets.
Skills & Experience:
- Sales Experience – 2+ years’ sales experience, including cold calling and lead generation in a retail environment highly beneficial.
- Communication & Customer Focus – Strong customer service and relationship-building skills with excellent communication abilities.
- Systems & Numerical Skills – Proficient in MS Office, CRM/sales systems, and numerically literate.
- Organisation & Problem Solving – Strong time management, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Teamwork –Able to work independently and as part of a team.
