About the Company

Altonorte is a Metallurgical Complex located in the Barrio Industrial La Negra, 25 kilometres from the city of Antofagasta. It produces and markets copper anodes, sulfuric acid, and copper in solution (PLS). It is part of Glencore, one of the world’s largest natural resources companies, whose scale and diversity enable the responsible supply of fundamental components that improve everyday life. Purpose of the Role

Support project management cross-functionally by collecting, structuring and tracking technical and management information necessary for decision-making, and coordinating effectively among the project team, user and operations areas, partner companies and other stakeholders, within the capex defined by the company and addressing the technical requirements of the areas, in line with safety, quality, responsibility, teamwork and communication standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage services associated with baselining activities and measurement campaigns for different agents.
  • Consolidate, structure and maintain databases and information relevant to the project.
  • Develop and maintain performance indicators (KPIs) that allow assessment of initial status, evolution and outcomes of initiatives.
  • Perform technical and financial control of projects with external service providers and advisory firms for HS standards of Altonorte.
  • Coordinate requirements and activities with operations, maintenance, environment and other user areas.
  • Prepare periodic progress reports, integrating technical, contractual, operational and management information.

Requirements

Formation

  • Five-year professional degree or greater.
  • Ingeniero Civil Industrial
  • Ingeniero Civil with a specialty aligned to the role.

Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of work experience.
  • Minimum 1-2 years in the role or similar positions.
  • Experience managing governance indicators.
  • Experience with environmental management standards.
  • Experience in tendering for the acquisition of materials and/or services.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Planning and Project Management.
  • Knowledge in Engineering/Development in copper smelting.
  • Economic evaluations.
  • Intermediate Office; ERP proficiency.
  • Knowledge of Cost Control, Capex and executive reporting.
