HV Mechanic

Pearl Recruitment is partnering with a well established engineering and transport equipment company specialising in side loaders, trailers, and heavy transport solutions. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join their workshop team.

About the Role

• Diagnosing faults and carrying out mechanical repairs
• Performing routine servicing including hydraulics inspections, oil changes, brake inspections, and operational testing
• Inspecting heavy vehicles for structural issues and determining required repairs
• Repairing or replacing faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components
• Working with hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment
• Completing testing to ensure machinery and systems are functioning correctly
• Maintaining records of inspections, work completed, and parts used
• Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental procedures

What We Are Looking For

• Trade qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (or similar mechanical trade)
• Experience working on heavy vehicles, trailers, or transport equipment
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
• Knowledge of hydraulics, braking systems, and vehicle electrical systems
• Forklift (LF) licence - advantageous
• Rigging or dogging tickets - advantageous
