Your Opportunity

Primero is seeking an experienced Training Specialist to join our Perth Corporate team, reporting directly to the HSE Manager.

In this key functional role, you will drive the development and implementation of mandatory training requirements; improve efficiencies in tracking and reporting on training; and ensure training compliance strategies are in place across our projects and operational sites. This role will require your subject matter expertise to identify and close gaps, improve efficiencies accessing critical information and establishing best practices.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Training Program Development: Design and implement training programs to ensure regulatory and organisational requirements are met.
  • Training Creation: Create, deliver, and maintain training materials that are engaging, accurate, and accessible to diverse audiences.
  • Compliance: Improve efficiencies accessing critical training information for stakeholders and provide updates and reports on compliance to training performance.
  • Monitoring: Monitor and report on employee participation and compliance with mandatory training programs.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor training professionals and coach leaders on training requirements.

What You ‘Can Do’

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction or mining operations.
  • Training and Assessment qualifications - minimum TAE40122.
  • High proficiency with training databases and training content creation tools.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated experience with problem-solving and communication skills in complex environments with complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to effectively manage relationships, build rapport, and influence across cross-functional teams and diverse individuals at any level.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring experience of business practices, tailored to all functional levels from leadership teams to front-line personnel.
