The Role:

  • Maintain village grounds in a neat and tidy condition
  • Perform general gardening tasks, including weeding, mowing lawns, and pruning trees
  • Operate and maintain gardening equipment effectively
  • Empty and clean village rubbish bins regularly
  • Undertake minor maintenance duties as needed
  • Able to handle extra tasks as needed
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Availability to work on a 14/7 roster cycle (14 days on, 7 days off).
  • Willing to work 10-hour shifts each day
  • Maintain a strict health and hygiene standards and systems
  • Ability to travel in/out from site at own expense

We’re looking for candidates with:   

  • A current Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 is highly desirable
  • At least 1 year experience working in a remote mine-site village or workforce camps
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Friendly and considerate attitude to promote a positive work environment

To be considered, you must have or be willing to obtain:   

  • Must have an Open Australian Driver's Licence/Manual C Class (pref. Manual & must be any Australian State) - International licence is not accepted
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screen
  • Have a recent National Police Check (within 1 month)
  • Unrestricted work rights in Australia
