About the Role

As our next HV Mobile Maintenance Electrician to join the team, your role will be the effective maintenance of a fleet of electric drive LIEBHERR T264 haul trucks. This includes regular electrical servicing, attending breakdowns to diagnosis and repair and component replacements. Included for the right candidate will be OEM training and continual support to further develop your electrical knowledge and career in the Thiess mobile maintenance team.

Duties will also include:

• Statutory electrical testing and inspections of mobile plant
• Assist with electrical breakdowns of mobile and fixed plant
• Future involvement with maintenance of EV coach and light truck
• Testing, QA and documentation
• Complete site electrical logbook entries

About You / Requirements

You will have a minimum of 2 years’ demonstrated experience in high voltage electric drive machinery (trucks, excavators, shovels) and mobile plant maintenance. Experience with AC and DC motors, VSD/VFD, PLCs, ELV/auto electrical and the exposure to communication systems with fault finding and diagnostic capabilities will be highly regarded.

A knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 requirements and WHS Act/Regulations is also highly regarded.

• WA Unrestricted Electrical Licence (A Grade)
• Cert III Electrotechnology
• LVR/CPR (Within 1 year)
• First Aid
• HV Switching Certificate (Within 2 Years)
• Instrumentation/motor control and control system experience
• WAH, high risk work licence and EWP
• HR Licence desirable
