About the Role

A local role with long-term stability Looking for a workshop role where you can build a career without leaving the Sunshine Coast?

MacKellar is looking for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our Nambour workshop. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering competitive pay, consistent Monday–Friday hours and the chance to work on a diverse heavy vehicle fleet.

Your Day-to-Day

Working from our Nambour workshop, you’ll help keep our heavy vehicle fleet safe, reliable and ready for operation.

You’ll be involved in a broad range of mechanical maintenance and repairs, including:

• Servicing and repairing trucks, trailers and heavy vehicles
• Completing preventative and scheduled maintenance
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
• Troubleshooting issues and carrying out effective repairs
• Ensuring all work meets safety, quality and compliance requirements
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping across the workshop
• Working collaboratively with the wider maintenance team

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who is technically capable, reliable and takes pride in their workmanship.

You’ll have:

• A trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Diesel Fitter / Road Transport Technician
• Experience working on heavy vehicles
• Strong mechanical diagnosis and fault-finding skills
• A commitment to safe, quality workmanship
• Good attention to detail
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• A positive and flexible approach to day-to-day workshop requirements
