About the Role

We’re looking for skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanics, Technicians, or Fitters to join our team at Brisbane Airport. This hybrid role gives you the best of both worlds: workshop maintenance and field service. From repairing heavy plant and trucks in the workshop to tackling breakdowns on site - no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and maintain heavy plant machinery and trucks
• Diagnose and repair breakdowns on site
• Deliver work to Downer’s high safety and quality standards
• Work both independently and as part of a skilled team

About You

• Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics, Plant Mechanics, or Fitting (essential)
• Strong hydraulic knowledge and diagnostic skills
• Experience with mobile plant, trucks, and heavy equipment
• Auto electrical experience highly regarded
• HR and Forklift licences desirable
• Proactive, safety-first approach to work
