We deliver a range of projects, from large established mining operations to greenfield developments across Australia. The services we provide range from mine development, production, cable bolting and drilling, raise boring, shotcreting and fleet.
The Opportunity
PYBAR is looking to welcome new Safety Graduates to our growing team. These positions are open to candidates who have recently completed a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Health, Safety and Environment, or another relevant discipline and are eager to begin their career in the underground mining industry.
As a Safety Graduate, you will gain exposure to a wide range of PYBAR projects and be given the opportunity to rotate across our national operations. This rotation program is designed to maximise your learning potential, broaden your practical experience, and support your development into a well-rounded safety professional.
You will work alongside experienced SHET Coordinators and site leadership teams, assisting with safety initiatives, risk management processes, incident investigations, inspections, and compliance activities. These roles offer hands-on experience, strong mentoring, and a clear pathway to grow your career within PYBAR.
By joining PYBAR, you’ll gain hands-on experience across a range of underground projects and learn from experienced teams in real site environments.
What You Will Need To Succeed
- A completed degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Health, Safety & Environment, Environmental Health, Safety Science, or a related discipline within the last 3 years
- Genuine interest in developing your career in underground mining
- Willingness to travel and rotate across multiple PYBAR operations as part of the role
- A proactive mindset with the ability to identify hazards, think critically, and problem-solve
- Hold a current Australian Drivers Licence
- Hold a current (<6 months) Nation Police Clearance – or be willing to obtain one
- A positive can-do attitude with the ability to work as part of a team
- A strong focus on safety
