Company Description:Anglo American AustraliaGrosvenor Mine – an underground steelmaking coal mine produced its first longwall coal in May 2016 and is located in Moranbah, about 190 km south-west of Mackay.We are building the team to deliver the next chapter of Grosvenor Mine. With a planned return to longwall production by Q4 2027, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to a major mine restart and help shape the future of underground mining.Working alongside experienced professionals, you will play a role in implementing leading-edge technology, automation, monitoring systems and operational improvements that will define how the mine operates for years to come. Job Description:Grosvenor MineThe Health & Hygiene Superintendent will execute occupational health processes, focused on injury management and worker rehabilitation, fitness for work, health screening and surveillance and health promotion and develop and implement key programs toward injury prevention to achieve zero harm at Grosvenor Mine.The role will be rewarding and varied and will involve the following:Execute the operation’s injury management and workers compensation, medical surveillance and fitness for work processes, including complex case management.Manage onsite health services, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery and compliance to contractor management requirements.Lead, facilitate or participate in investigations on matters involving health.Develop, update, monitor health related SHMS documents.Oversee the implementation of site health and wellbeing initiatives.Develop and implement workforce engagement pans for health-related topics.Recommend and co-ordinate continuous improvement projects and initiatives for health and hygiene.Support the implementation of Group Standards and Specifications at the Operation, and develop, review and support improvement plan to address any identified gaps.  Qualifications:Tertiary qualification in a Health Sciences related area of study such as Occupational Therapy/ Nursing/ Physiotherapy.Hold a current Certificate of Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (desirable).Qualifications relating to management systems accreditation and risk management (desirable).Role-Specific KnowledgeDemonstrable experience in developing and implementing health standards, procedures and processes to effectively manage those risks whilst driving continuous improvement by actively seeking new or alternative approaches. Demonstrable experience in leading injury management, Workers’ Compensation and fitness for work processes including comprehensive understanding of associated legislation.Demonstrable experience working in the field of occupational health in heavy industry, including mining and construction.Demonstrable knowledge of health risk management principles.
