We are currently seeking experienced Heavy Duty Fitters to join our growing maintenance teams across both surface and underground mining operations in Western Australia. These roles suit motivated tradespeople who take pride in high-quality workmanship, value safety, and want long-term, reliable employment.
You’ll be working on a varied fleet of heavy mining equipment, contributing directly to site performance and uptime while operating within a professional and supportive team environment.
Positions are available on FIFO, DIDO, or Perth-based arrangements depending on experience and site requirements.
Your new role
- Carrying out scheduled servicing, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on heavy mobile equipment.
- Working on surface and/or underground plant including loaders, trucks, drills, jumbos, and support equipment.
- Identifying faults and performing breakdown repairs efficiently to minimise downtime.
- Completing all work in line with OEM standards, site procedures, and WHS requirements.
- Accurately completing job cards, maintenance records, and defect reports.
- Actively contributing to a strong safety culture and team-first environment.
Equipment You May Work On
(Experience across some or all is advantageous)
- CAT, Komatsu, Sandvik, Epiroc, Hitachi
- Underground loaders, trucks & drills
- Surface mining support equipment
- Fixed plant exposure highly regarded (but not essential)
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will ideally have:
- Trade qualification as a Heavy Duty Fitter / Mechanic
- Previous experience in surface and/or underground mining environments
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Solid commitment to safety and site compliance
- Current Australian driver’s licence
- Ability to pass medical, drug & alcohol screening
