Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Heavy Duty Fitter. You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of heavy earthmoving equipment in a fast-paced mining environment. This role operates on a 2:1 roster, rotating between day and night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled servicing, maintenance, and repairs on heavy earthmoving equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults efficiently and accurately
- Carry out breakdown repairs in a safe and timely manner to minimise downtime
- Conduct inspections and ensure all equipment is maintained to site and manufacturer standards
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance and operations teams to ensure optimal fleet performance
- Adhere strictly to all site safety procedures and policies
- Complete required maintenance documentation and reporting accurately
Requirements
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate (Heavy Duty Mechanic / HD Fitter)
- Current Australian Driver's Licence (Manual)
- Valid National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
- Full Australian working rights
- Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and workplace standards
- Experience working with heavy earthmoving equipment in mining or similar environments preferred
