About the Role

We currently have an opportunity for a Handyperson join our workforce and play a key role in supporting the effective and efficient management of properties across Stockland’s national portfolio, with the Rockhampton Town Centre available to support. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes for our client and our communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general maintenance and repairs across site and communal areas
  • Perform routine and preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure safety and presentation
  • Respond to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently
  • Complete basic trade tasks (e.g. plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical, painting) within scope
  • Provide assistance with general grounds work around the property
  • Conduct safety checks, identify issues, and ensure compliance with WHS standards

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in general maintenance, repairs, or handyperson work
  • Construction White Card (Desirable/Mandatory TBC)
  • Ability to carry out general repairs across multiple areas (carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical)
  • Previous experience within grounds & gardens (ideally Certificate II in Grounds)
  • Strong understanding of workplace health and safety (WHS) and hazard identification
  • Good time management, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently
  • Ability to communicate professionally, manage multiple tasks, and maintain accurate records
  • Relevant background checks including National Police Check, or willingness to obtain
  • Trade qualifications or certifications (desirable but not essential)
