About the Role

We are seeking a Group Manager – Warehouse to lead the transformation of our warehousing and inbound supply chain across Queensland and New South Wales. Reporting to the Regional General Manager Operations**,** this role is critical in shaping and executing a next-generation warehousing and inventory strategy to support Whitehaven’s continued growth and operational scale.

Based in Brisbane (with regular travel to sites), this role will drive standardisation, optimisation and governance across warehousing operations, while playing a key role in the upcoming SAP implementation in NSW,a major catalyst for uplift in systems, processes and performance.

You will lead a geographically dispersed team and influence across multiple functions to enhance collaboration, embed best practice and deliver a scalable, high-performing supply chain model.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and deliver a group-wide warehousing strategy across QLD and NSW operations
  • Standardise and optimise warehouse operations, inventory management and logistics flows to improve cost, service, and working capital outcomes
  • Lead governance expansion into NSW, aligning site-based operations with group standards
  • Drive SAP-enabled transformation, embedding best practice processes, systems and reporting
  • Develop and implement inventory strategies to ensure availability of critical spares while reducing excess and obsolete stock
  • Improve inbound logistics performance and supplier reliability
  • Build and lead a high-performing, multi-site warehousing team, including two direct reports and broader indirect teams
  • Drive KPI frameworks, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives across all sites
  • Lead change management to embed consistent processes, systems, and ways of working across a decentralised environment

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Commerce or related discipline
  • 10–15+ years’ experience in large-scale, multi-site supply chain or logistics environments with a substantial portion of this in leadership positions
  • Proven experience designing and implementing warehousing and distribution networks
  • Experience in mining, heavy industry, or similarly asset-intensive environments preferred
  • Strong understanding of SAP (or equivalent) and warehouse management systems
  • Demonstrated delivery of cost, service, and working capital improvements
