Job Description
The Opportunity:
As part of the Gold Fields Graduate Program, you will complete rotations across four sites over a two-year period, including Agnew, Granny Smith, Gruyere, St Ives, and (where relevant) the Perth office. Throughout the program, you’ll work alongside members of our highly experienced technical team, gaining hands-on exposure to the gold mining environment. You’ll develop and demonstrate a set of core competencies, ensuring well-rounded capability across all key areas. Graduates will gain practical exposure to operational risk management, incident investigation and critical control verification within a large-scale mining environment.

Skills & Qualifications:
- Current C-Class manual driver’s licence (or ability to obtain prior to commencement).
- Tertiary Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (or related discipline) completed by end of 2026.
- Vacation or practical experience in mining or heavy industry is desirable but not essential.
About the Role:
- Engage with site leaders and operational teams to support delivery of Gold Fields’ Safety and Wellbeing Strategy
- Support incident investigations, risk assessments and continuous improvement activities across operational areas.
- Support implementation and verification of critical risk controls across mining, maintenance and processing environments.
- Participate in field leadership interactions and proactive safety engagements to strengthen visible safety leadership.
