Graduate Metallurgist 1st Year

The Opportunity:

As part of the Gold Fields Graduate Program, you will complete rotations across four sites over a two-year period, including Agnew, Granny Smith, Gruyere and St Ives. Throughout the program, you’ll work alongside members of our highly experienced technical team, gaining hands-on exposure to the gold processing environment. You’ll develop and demonstrate a set of core competencies, ensuring well-rounded capability across all key areas. This program offers genuine, real-world experience and the opportunity to see how your foundational university studies translate into practice.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Current manual driver’s licence.
• Completed your Tertiary Qualification in Extractive Metallurgy and/or Chemical Engineering by end 2026.
• Vacation experience in a mining environment is ideal, but not essential.
• All applicants will be required to submit a copy of their Academic Transcript

About the Role:

• Drive production performance by optimising plant operations, meeting targets for throughput, gold recovery, and overall efficiency.
• Ensure safe, compliant, and effective use of plant assets through careful planning, monitoring, Innovation.
• Collaboratively contribute to continuous improvement by analysing data and identifying opportunities to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and overall performance of operations.
