Our Opportunity

Work location: Perth, WA

Roster: 5:2 Roster

The role of the Graduate  Engineer is to support the Projects Team in tasks related to Fortescue Future Industries (FFI)

Key Responsibilities

  • Monthly reporting on product quality metrics
  • Conduct research on a variety of topics related with business strategy and opportunity development
  • Investigate root causes of customer complaints, draft responses to customers and provide recommendations back to the business
  • Support and develop presentation materials as required
  • Open minded, ability to work and think independently, i.e. connect the dots, willing to do research, turn ideas into feasible concepts with guidance from more senior colleagues
  • Able to work and develop analysis tools (excel, pbi, etc)
  • Plus to have VBA or other coding knowledge or interest

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary Engineering Qualification (preferred Process/chemical engineering, economics)
  • Interest in markets and working cross culturally
  • High level evaluation and analysis skills
  • Problem solving
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Working successful in environment with tight timeframes
  • Experience in working internationally and ability to speak Mandarin is a plus
  • Ability to demonstrate commercial acumen is a plus
