If you enjoy being out in the pit, working hands-on and seeing the impact of your work on production, this role will put you in the thick of it.

Join Evolution Mining’s Mungari operation as a Geology Technician – Open Pit, working alongside an experienced, down-to-earth team in a practical, field-based role. You’ll support ore spotting, grade control and drilling programs, with your work directly influencing how ore is identified and mined.

You’ll have the autonomy to get on with the job, while being backed by a strong, collaborative team. With an experienced back-to-back to learn from, this is a great environment to build confidence and capability.

Based residentially in Kalgoorlie on an 8:6 roster, this role offers stability and the chance to develop real, transferable skills across the open pit mining cycle, setting you up for a long-term career in mining geology.

You’re someone who enjoys being outdoors, working hands-on and being part of a team that keeps mining moving. You’re reliable, take pride in your work and are looking for a role where you can build your experience and stick around for the long term.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Around 2+ years’ experience in open pit mining or exploration
• Exposure to grade control, sampling or field-based geology support
• A strong safety mindset and the ability to work confidently in active mining environments
• The ability to work independently in the field, while staying connected with the wider team
• Solid communication and organisational skills

You’ll also need:

• Manual Driver’s Licence (essential), and the ability to tow a trailer
• Forklift Licence (essential)
• Full Australian working rights
• Currently reside in Kalgoorlie or open to relocating permanently

It’s a physically demanding role working in all conditions, so you’ll need to be comfortable being out on site and getting stuck in. In return, you’ll gain valuable, real-world experience that builds a strong foundation for your future in mining.
