We’ve got the rocks covered but we’re looking for one more incredible person to join the team based at our Tritton Operation (Open Cut) as a Graduate Geologist.

The Nitty Gritty

Lead the geology function behind a high-performing open cut mining operation and play a key role in maximising ore recovery, operational efficiency, and commercial outcomes.

As the Open Cut Geology Superintendent, you will provide both strategic direction and hands-on leadership across all geological activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and optimised extraction of ore reserves. Working closely with Mining, Processing, Planning, Survey, and Technical Services teams, you will drive performance through expert oversight of grade control, production geology, geological modelling, reconciliation, resource definition, and compliance.

This is an opportunity to influence mine performance at every stage — reducing dilution, improving recovery, and supporting the achievement of production targets in a fast-paced operational environment.

You’ll also lead and mentor a capable geology team, fostering a culture built on safety, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What you Bring:

• Extensive experience in Open Cut Mining Geology
• Bachelor of Geology, Earth Sciences, or related discipline.
• Current Australian Manual Driver’s Licence.
• Experience with geological software packages such as Vulcan, Leapfrog, Datamine, or Micromine.
• Exposure to resource estimation and mine planning processes.
• Senior First Aid qualification (desirable)
• Experience working within copper, gold, or base metals operations.
• Demonstrated leadership experience within a mining operation.
• Strong knowledge of grade control, geological modelling, and reconciliation processes.
• Sound understanding of open cut mining methods and operational requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.

The Company

Tritton Operations

Tritton Copper Operations is a long-life copper mine located near the towns of Nyngan and Cobar in central New South Wales. Commencing production in 2005, Tritton is 100% owned and operated by Aeris Resources and forms the cornerstone of our copper production.

Tritton mines from multiple sources and as we look to bring more mines into production, we are are transitioning to a ‘hub-and-spoke’ model where ore is transported to our centralised mill for processing.
