We have an exciting opportunity for a Geology Manager to join our fantastic and dynamic geology and SLT team at our Kalgoorlie Operations.

This opportunity is being offered as a site-based permanent full-time position working a 5:2/4:3 10-hour day residential roster (preferred), or a 4:3 12- hour day fly-in-fly-out roster may be considered for the ideal candidate.

Reporting through to the site General manager, you will be accountable for the performance, development, and integration of all geology functions across the operation (Operations & Growth).

Here’s what awaits you:

  • Lead and manage the site geology department, fostering a strong safety culture and high-performance environment

  • Oversee grade control, resource definition drilling, and geological modelling activities whilst focused on data quality, dilution and schedule.

  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of geological data to support short- and long-term mine planning

  • Proven ability to establish and maintain robust geological processes and procedures

  • Provide technical input into mine design, scheduling, and operational decision-making as well as ensuring collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

  • Build strong & effective cross-functional relationships with Mining, Processing, and Technical Services teams.

  • Geology team leadership & development: grow and mentor geologists, graduates, and technicians

  • Manage budgets, costs, and contractor performance for geology and drilling activities

  • Budget, risk and compliance management and monitoring In the geology space.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in underground gold operations in a senior geology role
  • Strong understanding of grade control, reconciliation, and orebody knowledge
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to drive standards and behaviours
  • Practical, delivery-focused approach with strong attention to detail
  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence across departments and build team driven results. Ensuring clear communication with all operational, resource, corporate and exploration stakeholders.
  • Completion of LGIRS statutory training and examinations, including Schedule 26 and SSE certifications, is essential

Qualifications:

Tertiary Qualifications in Geology, Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence (Manual). St Johns Senior First Aid certificate (desirable).

Passion for Growth:

Strong leadership skills and experience leading a diverse team of new-to-industry as well as experienced geologists. Ability to hold themselves and others accountable to their roles and responsibilities and deliver results. Good communication & collaboration skills. Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices. As well as being a pivotal member of the site SLT team and the responsibilities associated with this leadership role.
