Geologist - Underground Operations

KCA is partnering with a leading ASX-listed, global-scale gold producer to find an experienced Geologist for their underground operations in Kalgoorlie area.

This role works an 8/6 roster with 11-hour days. You'll be working on a world-class ore body in one of Australia's premier gold mining regions.

The role

• Assess and interpret geological data from underground mapping and core samples.
• Supervise drilling contractors and give technical guidance so work is done safely and efficiently.
• Analyse geological and production data to support mining decisions.
• Maintain sampling and QAQC standards.
• Champion safety, the company's number one priority, in everything you do.

About you

Qualifications, Experience and skills

• Bachelor Degree in Geology
• Proven contractor management skills
• Sound sampling and QAQC knowledge
• 2+ years as a geologist in the resources industry
• Experience with Datamine, Leapfrog and or acQuire will be a plus
• Ability to work with people from different backgrounds and disciplines

Location

• Goldfields based or willing to relocate to Kalgoorlie is preferred
• FIFO from Perth, WA
