Our client specialises in residential civil construction / earthmoving operations and plant equipment hire. They are known for delivering reliable, high-quality solutions with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and meeting project deadlines. Due to extensive growth, our client is looking for a General Manager to join their team with a hands-on approach and able to hit the ground the running in a newly created position.

Position Details:
This senior leadership role is suited to someone who understands the fast-paced nature of residential construction and earthworks. You will be responsible for leading operations, overseeing projects, and driving business growth, mainly responsible for the below:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple residential earthmoving projects
  • Lead and manage a small team of 7 operators, and 1 administrator, ensuring services meet legal and safety requirements
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and profitability, maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers

How can I be successful?
Our client is seeking an experienced General Manager / Operations Manager, or someone who is driven and looking to take on the next step in their career!

A successful candidate will also possess the below:

  • Strong experience working for a residential earthmoving business
  • Proven skills with reaching and exceeding operational and strategic expectations
  • Experience in Estimating (desirable but not essential).
  • Full Australian working rights.
