Our National Client, a leading producer and supplier of cement products to the construction industry across Western Australia, is currently seeking an experienced Forklift Operator / Yardhand to join their team in Naval Base on a long-term basis. This is a great opportunity to secure ongoing work with a reputable, well-established organisation.
About the Role
This position is a hands-on role that will see you operating a forklift as well as assisting with general yard and warehouse duties, including but not limited to:
- Forklift operations
- Manual handling and lifting cement bags to prepare afternoon orders
- General housekeeping and yard maintenance
- Operating a ride-on sweeper
- Basic pallet repairs
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- Start times typically 5:00am or 6:00am, finishing approximately 3:00pm - 3:30pm
Pay Rate
- $41.61 per hour + super (Casual)
To Be Successful, You Must Have
- A current Forklift Licence
- A current WA Driver's Licence
- Permanent residency or full Australian work rights (no working holiday visas)
- A good level of physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks
- The ability to pass a full medical, drug and alcohol screen
