The Fleet Management System (FMS) Controller plays a key role in supporting the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-performing Technical Services at Newlands. This position provides essential administrative and operational support to the Senior Leadership Team, Superintendents, Supervisors, and Mineworkers, helping the team achieve site targets safely and cost-effectively.
In this role you will be responsible for:

Demonstrate the data captured through the Fleet Monitoring System has an important level of integrity and can be used reliably to make business decisions.

Use the Fleet Monitoring System and actively contribute to the optimisation and the efficiency of the fleet operations by liaising efficiently and effectively with the Bulk, Civil and Engineering/Maintenance departments.

Provide and assist in development of data reports as required.

Provide ongoing data management support, and assist in process, system and business improvement enhancements where required.

Provide assistance with end of month reporting.

Manage access to site through main gate.

Provide assistance with administrative tasks for Technical Services such as, but not limited to, purchasing and travel booking.

In the event of an emergency:
- Provide initial radio response to an emergency call.
- Pass on emergency communications to IMT.
- Monitor gate surveillance to provide access to QAS or other emergency response vehicles.
- Maintain communications with external emergency provider/s.
- Log timeline of events during site emergency.
- Escalate potential delays from advice given by external Emergency providers to IMT/HST Manager.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Experience working with a Fleet Monitoring System (FMS)
- Previous experience in a similar role within the mining industry
- Current Driver’s Licence
- First Aid Certificate

- Experience using SAP
