The Opportunity
Join Komatsu's Mackay Workshop and become part of a highly skilled team responsible for building new machines, completing equipment refurbishments and assembling specialised customer modules. Working alongside approximately 30 technicians, you'll enjoy a stable Monday to Friday roster while developing your skills across a wide range of world-class construction and mining equipment. This role offers excellent variety, modern workshop facilities and long-term career opportunities with one of the world's leading equipment manufacturers.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assemble new Komatsu equipment to OEM standards
- Complete equipment rebuilds and refurbishment projects
- Rebuild machine modules and components
- Diagnose, repair and maintain mechanical systems
- Complete quality inspections and service documentation
- Work safely while supporting workshop productivity and team outcomes
Roster and Pay
- Roster: Monday to Friday – 6:00am to 2:30pm
- Hourly Rate: $46.08 - $52.31 per hour + super + tool allowance
- Role Located: Mackay

What we are looking for
- Mechanical trade qualification (Heavy Diesel, Mobile Plant, Light Vehicle or similar)
- Experience working on mobile plant, trucks or heavy machinery
- Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work safely and produce high-quality workmanship
- Team-focused approach with good communication skills
- Current driver's licence
- Riggers & Doggers - advantageous
