Are you an experienced Machinist looking for a role where you can work on large-scale equipment, use modern CNC technology, and take on varied repair machining projects?
Our client is a well-established heavy equipment contractor servicing the mining industry across Australia. Due to continued growth and investment in new machinery, they are seeking an experienced First-Class Machinist / Fitter Machinist to join their workshop team.
This is a hands-on repair machining role, where you will be machining and refurbishing heavy equipment components used in the mining sector, working across both manual and CNC equipment.
Job Duties:
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Operating CNC and manual machining equipment including:
- CNC Vertical Borer
- Manual Vertical Borer
- Manual Horizontal Borer
- CNC Horizontal Borer
- Lathes and polishing lathes
- Machining hydraulic cylinder components
- Completing precision repair and refurbishment work on heavy equipment components
Further Details:
- $55/Hr for Day Shifts & $65/Hr for Night Shifts
- 4:4 rotating roster with 12-hour shifts - FIFO roster without having to be away from home every night!

Requirements:
- Australian Recognised Machinist or Fitter Machinist Trade Certificate
- Experience working on heavy equipment components (highly regarded)
- Full Australian working rights
